Die Kollision mit einem treibenden Container kann erheblichen strukturelle Sch\u00e4den an Schiffen, insbesondere an kleineren Fahrzeugen, nach sich ziehen. Container mit umweltsch\u00e4dlichem Inhalt, unter anderem so genannte \u201eplastic pellets\u201c, m\u00fcssen so schnell wie m\u00f6glich gefunden und geborgen werden.<\/p>\n<p>Auf ihrer Tagung im Mai 2021 hat die IMO beschlossen, dass Thema Containersicherheit auf ihre Tagesordnung zu nehmen. Mittlereile ist die IMO (s. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spiegel.de\/wirtschaft\/containerschifffahrt-der-gefaehrliche-groessenwahn-der-reeder-a-a27c20cc-a7cb-4826-a965-8c56ae801341?giftToken=680039d1-c805-4db9-9bf6-be906405501b\">Bericht Spiegel Wirtschaft<\/a>) unter Druck geraten, kurzfristig eine gesetzliche Regelung zu beschlie\u00dfen und in Kraft zu setzen. Mit SaferSea werden Container sowohl im Land- als auch im Seeverkehr satellitengest\u00fctzt verfolgt. F\u00e4llt ein Container, der mit unserem System ausger\u00fcstet ist, von Bord, wird automatisch die \u00dcberwachungsstelle informiert. Sie erh\u00e4lt per Satellit die genaue Position des Containers.
