Hierzu geh\u00f6ren Beschleunigungsinformation die Auskunft \u00fcber die Handhabung der Ware w\u00e4hrend des Transportes liefern. Ein Ereignissystem alarmiert beispielsweise bei starken Ersch\u00fctterungen oder Abbremsungen eine Grenzwert\u00fcberschreitung. Daraus resultiert eine leichtere Nachvoll-Ziehbarkeit von Schadensersatzforderungen und das Auffinden der f\u00fcr einen Schaden schuldigen Partei. Dar\u00fcber hinaus ist transportierte Ware in einigen F\u00e4llen auf dem Seeweg starken St\u00fcrmen ausgesetzt, welche dazu f\u00fchren, dass Sicherungsmechanismen versagen k\u00f6nnen und Teile der Schiffsladung \u00fcber Bord gehen. Die Positions- und Zustandsdaten werden an Land drahtlos \u00fcbertragen. W\u00e4hrend des Transports auf dem Schiff ist das \u00dcberwachungssystem daf\u00fcr zust\u00e4ndig einen Verlust bzw. Sturz ins Wasser zu erkennen. Dabei ist es unerheblich, ob die Ware noch an der Meeresoberfl\u00e4che treibt, oder bereits teilweise bzw. vollst\u00e4ndig gesunken ist.
